Wow, so much going on, so little time write. Last night Gert, DB and I arrived home from Florida. DB had an incredibly good time at Oma's. I mean, how could he not? He got to play tennis, go swimming, go to the beach, ride his (new) bike, rollerskate, and most of all, be an only child. I was worried he might not want to come home, but he was quite happy to see me and kept asking when we were going--he didn't want me to leave without him.
It was nice seeing my mom again, I miss her so darn much. She's been talking about moving closer, and I poo-poo'd it because she hates Missouri, but lo and behold, I think she's really serious. She brought it up multiple times and never once did I hear the standard "no way in hell am I moving back to St. Louis". Heee, that makes me a little giddy, but time will tell.
And, because life has to always be an adventure, the first tropical storm of the season, Alberto, chose to head straight for us, of course due to make landfall the day I fly out. Thankfully nothing really came of it in our immediate vicinity and not even much turbulence to speak of.
All in all, life is good, now I just need to figure out how to not go utterly insane with three kids home all summer.
